Maarib
In 2013, I detailed my encounter with a Canadian Intelligence operative, who later figured in a plot to bomb a civilian airliner in the Gulf. What surprised me back then, was her connection to Yemen, and in particular, the the town of Maarib. It was almost as if she could call in reinforcements from that place, who would always have her back. The place was buzzing with Al-Qaida activity, and they would be parading around town in brand new jeeps....
